Beginning my masonic journey has been quite exciting. It is unquestionably an extension of my education as I also go through my graduate program. It is one of the few things giving me hope and inspiration these days.
One thing that has been on my mind is who I need to be. To myself, my family, my friends, my community, and my lodge. I've had a deep feeling for some time that I need to go to the "next step". I do believe masonry is a part of that next step, but how I give to others is the missing piece. I've had conversations about running for public office; getting into politics is pretty daunting. Maybe it is simply staying on my path, working in higher education? I am indecisive in this time. I would like to see my ideas reflected in government - the noblest motive is the public good, after all. Do I have a personal journey to fulfill?
